Yeah, I would want to translate them before the release of 4.6.0.I also have translations of the new strings in the 20120226 prerelease and some fixes of older translations waiting, but cannot submit them before an updated potfile appears at translationproject.org.
It is common procedure in many projects to declare a string freeze at some point - maybe a week or so before a planned release, to give the translators time to make updated translation of all strings in the released program.
