<h3>Volunteer Webmaster Quiz</h3>

<p>We welcome new volunteers to join the GNU webmasters group. Since
our philosophy is so important to us, we have a small quiz and
background questions for potential webmasters. If you are interested,
please take a look.

<ol>
<li>What is Linux? What is GNU/Linux?

<li>What is the Free Software Foundation, and what is its purpose?

<li>What is open source? What is free software?

<li>Are you generally familiar and comfortable with the essays and
positions that GNU and FSF take, as stated on our <a
href="http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/philosophy.html";>philosophy
page</a>?

<li>Please read our
<a href="http://www.gnu.org/server/standards";>guidelines for web site
volunteers</a> if you haven't already. Are you comfortable with the
information there?

<li>Are you experienced with CVS?

<li>How much time can you currently commit to webmastering? (Of course,
this can be changed at any time, but helps determine where you can best
help initially.)

</ol>

<p>Of course, if you have any questions, feel free to ask. Thanks for
your interest!
