Dear David,

Thank you very much for your bug report. So far, WP-MIRROR 0.7.3 has only been tested on debian wheezy 7.4 w/ backports, and debian jessie. However, I do want it to run on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr).

1) HTTP 500 Internal Server Error

I have been unable to reproduce the HTTP 500 Internal Server Error. I wonder if it may have been a temporary outage on the part of <http://download.savannah.gnu.org>.

2) UBUNTU 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

In order to properly reproduce your dependency problems, I will create a virtual machine running Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and attempt to install WP-MIRROR 0.7.3 on that. Any fixes will appear in WP-MIRROR 0.7.4.

Any bug that spoils your out-of-the-box experience is a high priority here. Your report is highly appreciated, and I will get back to you.

Sincerely Yours,

Subject: Fwd: Repository problems
Further to my problems listed in my previous email, below, I decided to try and install by using packages. However, this unexpectedly brought up a load of dependency problems, all of which I managed to resolve but only by forcing them by using apt-get -f install. I have been informed that this is a bad idea and I hope I have not condemned my server to a life of problems.
I am now stuck and no longer wish to install wp-mirror unless the problems have been ironed out.

I seem to be having issues adding the repositories for wp-mirror to my
sources.list. The repositories I am having problems with are:-

deb http://security.debian.org/ wheezy/updates main

deb http://download.savannah.gnu.org/releases/wp-mirror/debian-wpmirror/ wheezy main

I am running Ubuntu server 14.04.1 LTS.
I have tried tracing the correct path for the savannah repository but in the end that gives a 500 Internal server error.
There is also an issue which I initially had to add GPG keys and I had to take extra steps to add these.

I'd appreciate some assistance please and also if you could update the website in case others would like to take this route to install wp-mirror.

David Johns
