Thanks, looks good. Just a few nitpicks:

- create a GNU style commit message (see `git log` for examples)
- add `Copyright-paperwork-exempt: Yes` to the commit message
- add your email (used in your commit) to AUTHORS (best at the bottom), so that 
the commit-check CI runner succeeds (see 
https://gitlab.com/archit-p/wget2/-/jobs/326240162)

The other two failing CI runners are not related to your changes.
