Follow-up Comment #1, task #12766 (project weechat):

Done (branch "buffer-auto-renumber" merged to master).

New options:
- weechat.look.buffer_auto_renumber (must be set to off to disable auto
- weechat.look.buffer_position (position for a new buffer: end / first_gap).

New bar item: "buffer_last_number" (now bar item "buffer_count" displays the
number of opened buffers, each merged buffer counts 1).
