Details:
the "status item" will show (#channel) like it was closed/parted even if you
just joined, a small testcase for can be making a bot kick you in a channel
where you can't rejoin automatic(ly)[1], before getting kicked you switch to
other buffer, and then when you switch back after getting kicked, you try to
/join, you will join normally but the 'status item' won't get updated until
you press ctrl-l or switch to other buffer (and get back), if you don't switch
to other buffer when getting kicked the bar won't get updated until you write
/join (other commands I tried didn't work)
