URL: <http://savannah.nongnu.org/bugs/?39278> Summary: Wrong handling of targeted PRIVMSG Project: WeeChat Submitted by: dmlloyd Submitted on: Tue 18 Jun 2013 11:36:55 PM GMT Category: irc plugin Severity: 3 - Normal Item Group: irc protocol Status: None Privacy: Public Assigned to: None Originator Name: Originator Email: Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Release: 0.3.7 IRC nick: dmlloyd _______________________________________________________ Details: If a PRIVMSG is received with a target of "#channelname", things work properly; however if a message is sent just to channel ops or voiced e.g. "+#channelname" or "@#channelname" then the client makes the (common) mistake of treating it as a PM since the target didn't match any known channel. Instead the message should be shown in-channel but possibly with some qualifier to indicate that not everyone received it. Also it would be nice to provide an easy way to reply in kind. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.nongnu.org/bugs/?39278> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.nongnu.org/
