Details:

I am in an euirc channel, where the channel founder is being shown with his
normal nick "Caesar" in his messages, but on the nicklist he shows as
"*Caesar". I also have to start with an * if I wanna tab-complete him. A

I think the asterisk should be his status sign, like @ for ops and + for
voice, but it isn't shown or handled that way.
