URL: <http://savannah.nongnu.org/bugs/?23757> Summary: Server hostnames that use mutiple ips do not work correctly Project: Wee Enhanced Environment for Chat Submitted by: None Submitted on: Wednesday 07/02/2008 at 21:30 UTC Category: None Severity: 3 - Normal Item Group: other Status: None Privacy: Public Assigned to: None Originator Name: wishbone Originator Email: address@hidden Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Release: 0.2.6 IRC nick: address@hidden _______________________________________________________ Details: When specifying a irc server hostname that returns multiple ips weechat will always pick the same ip regardless of how the name resolves. Examples include irc.efnet.org and irc.efnet.us. If you do a lookup on those domains you'll see that they return a list of ips in a random order. No matter the order weechat always uses the same one. Other clients don't seem to exhibit this behavior. Still my favorite irc client, thanks for all the hard work with this one! _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.nongnu.org/bugs/?23757> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.nongnu.org/
