my email's been fcuked for the past few days ... can't connect to the 
pop3 box server.  anyway, thought i'd let you all know i got started 
on the C# impl of the message buffer tonight.  i'll probably have 
some questions for chris in a bit ... i'm also going to try to write 
up some csunit unit tests, and maybe an "integration test" to make 
sure the C and C# impls can talk to each other.  we'll see....
