Absolutely.  The bottom line is making sure the the same functionality is 
provided from the same API when run on MS.  This could be done by writing 
code that impersonates the Un*x features being used in the middleware and 
tieing that in (probably easier), or replacing the lowerlevel functions 
within the middleware with MS specific code.  The later may mean 
architectural changes within the middleware that I'd rather not do... but 
we'll see how it goes.
