Indeed, it does do exactly the right thing.  Maybe that guy *did* know
what he was on about...

So the test in the example rc file should probably be removed, as it
will prevent Vileserv from recovering when there is an orphaned
socket.  The two subsequent require lines are also superfluous to
requirements.
