Your patch looks fine and since it is fairly non-intrusive, I've committed
it to cvs. I have no way of testing it other than that it compiles and
doesn't break any avr stuff. Looks fine in that respect.

I also updated the --help output and the man page.
Can you verify that the latest cvs works like you expect for those parts?
