I have not tried it (yet), but a couple of years ago i complained
on a FreeBSD list why they use strange and heavy compiler
specifics even in the most easy kernel (aka /usr/include-included)
headers, which breaks support for anything but new and fat
compilers.  I did not even get a respond.
Not even week_s_ ago they removed support for gcc .. 4.2? .. from
their cdefs.h file (i think it was).
