A pretty fresh checkout of texmacs with qt on Ubuntu 10.04 (UNR) is failing with:

I could not open address@hidden
texmacs.bin: ./Plugins/Metafont/load_tex.cpp:329: void load_tex(string, int, int, int, tex_font_metric&, font_glyphs&): Assertion `false' failed.
Aborted

Anyone know what to install or how to prod metafont? (I've already got the ubuntu 10.04 texmacs installed in order to get most of the depdancies in)

Running the ubuntu 10.04 provided version of texmacs gave this:

then running new texmacs created the ecrm font (and it worked) - so I guess the old texmacs does something the new one misses
