According to this page 03F5 is the "lunate" epsilon
http://www.fileformat.info/info/unicode/char/03f5/index.htm
and 03B5 the greek small letter epsilon.
On my screen 03B5 looks like what I type in texmacs.
Apparently, 03f5 is a variant.
