Sorry for the late reply ; this work looks wonderful.
I think that you should try to create a plug-in for this.
I suggest to rename your environments lp-block, lp-comment and so.
Next, you can make a litterate programming menu in your plug-in.
Finally, from the menu, you can then provide a functionality which
does steps 1--4 (as you say in comment 1). Notice also that
you can add your own data formats and converters to TeXmacs.
I propose that we proceed as follows: you create a plug-in with
the possibility to insert the different environments from the menu
(you should be able to manage things so far: creating plug-ins is
described in detail in the documentation and some sample plug-ins
with menus are provided in the examples). Please rename
the environments as indicated. Next, I will assist you with
the necessary Guile commands in order to automate the generation process.
