Subject: problem with X11 (partially solved)

Hi!
I have the following problem with the current version: when I try to
start a remote X11 session, I get the following error:

_X11TransSocketINETConnect: Can't get address for localhost

Fatal error: I failed to connect to Xserver in
'x_display_rep::x_display_rep'

This happens both with ssh port forwarding, and with setting the
DISPLAY variable. I tried an older version on my other computer, and
that seems to work fine.
Another difference is that one is the precompiled static binary, and
the other is my own compiled binary.

Actually, while writing to you, I did some search on the net for
similar problems, and found that it seems to be a problem with resoving
the hostname (localhost in my case).

I tried to set the DISPLAY to 127.0.0.1:11.0 instead of localhost:11.0,
and that worked.

So, just in case someone else has a similar problem...

        Michael
