[Texmacs-dev] problem: texmacs does not start

Hi,

I received the following bug report which I cannot reproduce. From
a quick look at the texmacs code I cannot see how this error message
may be produced. Does anyone have an idea what may be going on
here?

After a fresh install, texmacs does not start for me. I always get
this error:
