Just for my information, can you tell me how you installed GUILE?
TeXmacs does weird things to try to guess the installation directory
of GUILE. I have been told that can be useful with unusual
installations of GUILE, but I had no examples.
Most of the time, GUILE is just able to find its own stuff without
need for TeXmacs to set GUILE_LOAD_PATH (as it currently does) or for
the user to set GUILE_LOAD_PATH (as you did).
What were the 'configure' and 'make' option you used?
