Do not know. I have only a french Windows98 here.

By the way, is that required for TeXmacs? It seems to me that setting
TEXMACS_PATH system-wide (I guess that is what you want to do) does
cause problems because it bites users when they try to install texmacs
from source (which is not more complicated than setting a environment
variable).

Maybe it would be better to use a console based installer which
prompts the user for an installation directory and properly configure
the TeXmacs script by adding "TEXMACS_PATH=xxx; export TEXMACS_PATH"
at the beginning of the script.

Well... until someone does that I guess it is simpler for the
developpers to ask the user to set an environment variable which will
be forgotten the day after.
