Using "gendocs.sh" from gnulib, the invocation boils down to:

The error messages don't make sense to me, but Googling seems to indicate that
these
are warnings and difficult to avoid. There *is* a node following
`Introduction' in the
menu, specifically `Definitions file'. That renders the message
incomprehensible.
P.S. "sectioning" has two 'n's, not three. Don't double the final 'n' in
"section".
P.P.S. any reason why --output is not set to html_$1 (viz., html_chapter), this
being
a gendoc.sh question.
