Dear all,

We've published a new version of the payto URI scheme draft:
https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-dold-payto/

The goal of payto:// is to designate payment methods, similar in spirit
to how one would designate electronic mail addresses with the mailto URI
scheme.

The main change is that payment methods are now to be managed by an IANA
registry, instead of a fixed list in the specification. There's some
minor fixes more on security consideration and default operations.

We are using this URI scheme internally in GNU Taler to specify bank
accounts, and we plan on using it to make it easier for end users to
send money to the exchange.

You're all welcome to give feedback, or tell us if some use case you
have for it isn't addressed.

Happy hacking!

Florian
