Dear Ossama,
thanks for your work, I will try to clear things a little bit for you:
* Hit:
no longer needed. this string will disappear in the next release.
* Icon Legend:
it is a small table with all status icons and their corresponding status
* _Lock Current Status and Version:
a new "term" for hold. if activated the current status and version of a
package won't change under any circumstances
* Purge:
Debian specific term: the configuration will also be removed with the
package
* Pinned:
advanced selection mechanism
(Purge and pinned have to be replaced in the near future)
* <b>Note:</b> Modifications are not executed instantly. They will be
queued ""and have to be executed afterwards:
Part of the new quick introduction
In my native language we only have got one plural from so I am not
familiar with using more than one plural form with ngettext.
A good starting point could be:
http://developer.gnome.org/doc/tutorials/gnome-i18n/developer.html#plurals
In my German translation I use the msgstrs in the following way:
The msgstr[0] is the single and the msgstr[1] the plural version of the
sentence.
Regrads,
Sebastian
