Is this a bug in synaptic or a compile problem, does anyone know?

I had the same thing happen under version 0.47 with any package that
couldn't be downloaded for whatever reason. I switched back to 0.46 and
everything works like it should. Apparently there's a bug in 0.47 so
I'd just wait for 0.48.
