yum install gcc

I had many problems on CentOS too.. btw.. it finally worked with the help from the wiki but many times I had to recompile again because the libjpeg package and the very old version of  ghostscript which you most likely want to update.

I'm new to linux and I was trying to compile swftools on a CentOS 64 machine. I got the same problem as this:

Tobias Hinz said he did solve it by installing gcc and gcc-c++.

Can anyone tell me from where to download these and were to put them?
