Finally got at your at your pdf file:

Filename: EMPIRE_03_2010.pdf
Size: 39Mb
Creator: Adobe InDesign CS4 (6.0.1)
Producer: Adobe PDF Library 9.0

Conversion with pdf2swf binary from swftools 0.9.0, under generic
Linux 2.6.28 ( both source code installs ),
proceeds perfectly. Several passes were made. On each pass, all 116
pages of the 39MB file converted without
a single error being thrown.

Better check your environment, swftools install, etc, etc, etc.

Regards,

Chris.
