Yeah..agree with filip that –O1 and –O2 seems to crash on his PDF file when applies..so may not be an option for him…

-s breakonwarning ... that comes in handy. thanks. i've read about several options that are not listed by "-s help". is there a complete list somewhere?
the -O1 and -O2 options cause unrecoverable errors and termination with many pdfs that i've tried. so thats not an option to me for now.

You can also use the "-s breakonwarning" parameter.
That'll cause conversion to abort when some page element is not
fully supported.

You may also want to try the "-O1" and "-O2" options. Those usually
cause a lot of problems to disappear.
