Hi there Chantal,

First off, a recommendation.  If you wnat to play with sound in
general, then a scalpel knife is better than a blunt chisel!  See,

Secondly, it is possible that you didn't actually do anything 'wrong',
especially as Flash can be very picky  ( amongst other things ) about
the header and bit rate information contained within an mp3.  Perfectly
possible that Cleaner XL - Autodesk? - did something slightly quirky with
the file?  Incidentallly,  pay tell, why was it you encoded the mp3 to swf
and then promptly chose to extract back out again in order to play it?!

Maybe if would care to post the code and/or mp3 in question, someone
could give you a better idea of what was happening.
