Thanks for hijacking my thread.  Roger, since you've been so helpful to me, here are two players I'll be releasing open source shortly.  One is single frame one is flip, both are load on demand.

As to viewers that are already out there, well the source code for
many of them is
available to all who care to look.   Have you downloaded and started on one yet?
