You did not tell us what steps you took to arrive at that. It could simply be your configure line is wrong. But my best guess says: Check which libtool, automake, and autoconf you have installed

I have:

address@hidden pauljohn]$ rpm -q libtool
libtool-1.5-8

address@hidden pauljohn]$ rpm -q autoconf
autoconf-2.57-3

I have several automakes instlled in the redhat style, but the version you need to match up against is 1.6.3.

It shows here as
automake16-1.6.3-1

Make sure you have gcc-3.3.2

I tried to compile swarm-2.1.148.20040122 under SuSe 9.0.

I got the following error:

libtool: unrecognized option `-DHAVE_CONFIG_H'
Try `libtool --help' for more information.

make[3]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[2]: *** [all] Error 2
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make: *** [all] Error 2

Does anybody know what to do?
