Is it possible to use libffi instead avcall libraries?

Hi all
 I compiled all the needed software under MacOsX and now I am trying 
to compile Swarm libraries.
Is it possible to use libffi instead avcall library which is in the 
swarm package?
What's the parameter I have to print into configure script?
