Typically, agents will have some way to identify other agents on a
shared landscape, and then will send messages to their peers
requesting information.  One kind of shared landscape is a physical
space, like a Object2dDisplay.  Here you have a grid and can search
the grid for other objects based on your location.  In other cases,
you might have a graph structure which you'd traverse some number of
steps away.  Determining the information of other agents then involves
having the agents respond to requests for different kinds of
information.  In this way, agents can have some notion of privacy and
language.
