        Hi Marcus,

here you find a case; it is a lot unclear (it is a mixed project with several students, in 'confused concurrent programming').

Anyway, the code crashes, but it runs commenting line 77 of VEFrameModelSwarm.java

It would help if you'd provide a test case.  I just identified and fixed a way
that probing a static variable (which should just be invisible) could cause
a crash, but it didn't fail in that way...
