ASM on Compaq(DEC) Tru64 UNIX new problems

It seems the 31 Jan snapshot still has major problems with VarProbe.

ASM will run perfectly happily as long as you leave it alone.
However, as soon as you attempt to use the Probe GUI it will crash.  Most
times the errors seem to be in VarProbe.m.  It is certainly not usable.

I will try to get a better fix on this.

Would it help to go back to an older snapshot and just add the alpha
patches?
