Thanks - your first suggestion (pointing the Makefile
directly at my gcclib) did the trick. The relief of seeing a happy heatbug!
At every stage (i.e. building swarm and running
demo apps.) , the linker is pouring out warnings of prempted definitions.
Just a few examples from running a demo:
ld32: WARNING 85: definition of __frame_state_for in /usr/local/lib/libtclobjc.so
preempts that definition in /usr/local/lib/libobjectbase.so.
ld32: WARNING 85: definition of __register_frame_info in /usr/local/lib/libtclobjc.so
preempts that definition in /usr/local/lib/libobjectbase.so.
ld32: WARNING 85: definition of __register_frame_info_table in /usr/local/lib/libtclobjc.so
preempts that definition in /usr/local/lib/libobjectbase.so.
ld32: WARNING 85: definition of __deregister_frame_info in /usr/local/lib/libtclobjc.so
preempts that definition in /usr/local/lib/libobjectbase.so.
They come in all flavours, however.
Presumably something was in the wrong order somewhere, but do you think there's a mortal risk of a wrong definition creeping in if I choose to live with the warnings?
Thanks,
Jonathan
