You might want to look at Barry McMullin's tipsybugs application.
This is for a very much earlier version of Swarm, but has a hexagonal
space in it, I think. I have some plans to look into implementing
hexagonal spaces in the coming months -- I was going to look and see
if I coud upgrade Barry's work, but I'm only using Swarm 1.4.1 at
the moment....
