Supporters,
Two questions. First, what kind of mechanism does/will Swarm
have for parallel computing. For example, if I have a network of
workstations, will I be able to take advantage of the distributed
computing environment in my Swarm applications, or is this not part of
the current development effort.
Second, I am planning to connect GRASS (a raster-based
Geographic Information System) to Swarm, thereby allowing entities to
(presumably) initiate calls for information to GRASS from Swarm. Will
Swarm accommodate this? What do you see as a good starting place for
investigating the possibility of implementing this? Does this seem
feasible with Swarm as it is now, or might it become feasible in a
later release?
Thanks for your help!
Douglas.
