I'm having a little trouble with OC syntax.  In C++ there is
a way to define variables that are common to all members of
the class.  An example might be meanTimeToBirth in the class
animal.  It should be accessable to all instances but should
only need to be initialized once.

Is there an example of this in one of the SWARM apps or does
someone have an example?
