I use something more like:
Concept<->Use-Cases<->Data-requirements<->Test-cases<->Requirements<->
Design<->Implementation<->Testing<->Re-factoring<->Testing<->Experimentation
<->Data-Coll/Analysis<->Iterate.
Ultimately, the process you use should be enlightened by (if not
dictated by) the domain you're working in. I'm currently working with
scientists; so, the above works well. If I were in a business
context, I would use something more like the RUP (or in some
circumstances like XP).
