For the record, Darshan was proposed a job in the meantime and therefore 
had to cancel his participation to gsoc. GIMP will not be taking a slot 
in the GNU project for GSoC this year.

Thanks anyway for letting us in.
Maybe next year, we will ask again, and next time, if we do ask, we will 
ask earlier so that we can better integrate within your process
