As a temporary stop-gap fix, I wrote a shell script (attached) that continually restarts StumpWM. Unfortunately, when StumpWM dies to an error it still seems to emit code 0, so I can't decide when to end the restarts based on that. Killing the script will kill Stump and stop the loop.
