Todd,

Yes I did a normal build: /usr/sbin/sks build /var/lib/sks/dump/*.pgp
According to the docs I no longer need the dump but this software has
proven itself to be so fragile that I need to schedule downtime to dothe 
experiment.

I suffered through several builds myself.  I considered the fast build
but was concerned about the performance loss that the docs imply.  But
from what you say it is not really a problem.
