Hi @all,

Onno wrotes:
I am currently cleaning up my patches and pushing them to my already existing
git repository (which I put there after the savannah crash). It is at

http://github.com/onnokort/simulavrxx/tree/master

I think, to have a little bit more modern ;-) VCS system as CVS could be a good idea. I know, that some people like her CVS and are ready to start some flames, if somebody comes and want to take it away. :-) (and I hope, that I do not create such flame wars with my posting ...)

In my job I had (and have, of course) to do with many VCS systems, open source and also "professional" (payed) systems. They all have some advantages and disadvantages (some more, some less). I would use mercurial, but this is my own preference. git is also ok for me. subversion wouldn't be not so optimal for my opinion (but even better), I have used it a few years, but git or mercurial are better, because they don't need a centralised server. (they don't need it, but it's possible of course!) And there are more possibilities to exchange changes. (included the control of using changes!)

What's the opinion about that on the list?

cu, Thomas
