Caso você já tenha memorizado os atalhos utilizados no vi
é possível utilizá-los na shell lembrando que fazendo isso tudo se
passará como se você estivesse dentro desse editor :
set -o  vi
Tenho esse comando no meu /etc/bashrc
Assim , por exemplo se você teclou ESC e 0 para ir ao primeiro caracter
da sua linha , teclando A você irá para o final em modo de inserção
