I have noticed that when starting rscreen as a process running on a terminal emulator (xterm, gnome-terminal) the scrolling capabilities of the terminal emulator seem to be disabled. In particular, the PageUp, PageDown keys in the keyboard, that allow one to move up and down the output in the terminal emulator (up to the number of lines saved by this application) do not work anymore. My query: Is it possible to map the scrolling capabilities built into screen on to the PageUp, Page Down keys?
From the FAQ: http://www4.informatik.uni-erlangen.de/~jnweiger/screen-faq.htmlYou can make your scrollbars work again by using this in your .screenrc file:
termcapinfo xterm ti@:te@It won't be modal as Phil mentioned, but you can scroll back better than without it.
