That has not been my general experience, though I don't believe you're
the first to want the full command, either. The chief problem is that a
single command can very quickly fill an entire hardstatus/caption line.

I wouldn't be applying this patch as-is, as I think preserving current
behavior is important. However, I'd be willing to apply a patch that
makes this behavior configurable (or, perhaps better, allows a
configurable number of words).
