== Description: ==
Libreboot is freedom-respecting boot firmware that initializes the hardware
(e.g. memory controller, CPU, peripherals) in your computer so that software
can run. Libreboot then starts a bootloader to load your operating system. It
replaces the proprietary BIOS/UEFI firmware typically found on a computer.
Libreboot is compatible with specific computer models that use the Intel/AMD
x86 architecture. Libreboot works well with GNU+Linux and BSD operating
systems. User support is available at #libreboot on Freenode IRC.
== Other Comments: ==
Libreboot previously existed on Savannah.
I wish for all messages on the old Libreboot mailing lists, from September
15th onwards, to be deleted.
I want to restore Libreboot's presence on Savannah. I've revived Libreboot. It
was dead for years, but I started working on it again full-time since late
2020, and I'm very close to a release.
I wish to re-submit Libreboot to GNU, and I wish to start using GNU Savannah
mailing lists again.
I am Leah Rowe, the founder and lead developer of Libreboot.
ignore the "librebootreborn" thing. i can't seem to access my old savannah
account, so I made this new one.
