==== Description: ====
In the most scientific and engineering fields of research Fortran is still
the most important programming language.
In some of this fields genetics algorithms is a very powerfull tool: civil
building, climate change, earthquake forecasting, biology... The most parts of
libraries of genetics algorithms coded in Fortran, if not the whole, use a
single precision fitness function, but in some situations this may be a quite
poor resolution. This project would help to write a little library that code a
genetic algorithm in Fortran with a double and/or long double fitness
function, that have to be liable, fast and suitable for a wide range of fields
of investigation.
==== Other Software Required: ====
CernLib in particular mathlib
==== Other Comments: ====
