==== Description: ====
GiVMi is Virtual Machines infrastructure
- software is writen in python and code is (or will be) documented
- uses qemu (or kvm) as virtual machine software
- manages virtual machines on one or more physical machines
- adds a security layer user-based (there's virtually no admin, just quota
limitations that can be share)
- connections are encrypted with tls1 and authentication uses x509v1
certificates (final users can also use login/pass authentication).
- three clients are (or will be) available : console-based, gtk and www
(php)
- this is a work in progress but a first release should be ready in current
year (2009)

==== Other Software Required: ====
python
qemu or kvm
OpenSSL, pyOpenSSL
GTK,pyGTK
GTKVNC,pyGTKVNC

==== Other Comments: ====
Project is currently hosted by sourceforge.net but their policy is not my cup
of tea.
License headers and copyright notices are not yet included everywhere but it
will be done for first release.
GiVMi is an educational project : each year a group of students of IUT
Informatique (University of Limoges, France) works two months on a part of the
code.
